"1950's Flight Jacket" - Heavy Chrome Tanned Steerhide
Typical Post-War design reflecting the glory of America's Fliers.
Our steerhide version has 4 pockets, cotton lining and the option of a Genuine Mouton Collar. The Jacket is constructed from the finest Horween 4 oz Chrome Tanned steer which offers the wearer the same protection from the elements as Horsehide although in our opinion, after almost 30 years working with both hides, Horsehide is vastly superior to Steerhide, it ages beautifully, it devlops are far more attractive grain and is better suited to be used for clothing than the Steerhide. Choice of Collar, Mouton Fur or Leather.
We use the same pattern block as used for all our 1950's Jackets recut in the style of the Type A2 for that authentic "fliers" look.
