Rare 1930s Horsehide Half-Belt Jacket by Cresco Sportswear, 38", VJ#701 - £420

Beautiful, and very rare 1930s Half-belted jacket made by Cresco Sportswear, size 38".  With Swift main zipper, and Talon USA diamond pocket zipper and brown rayon lining.

A very, very special jacket in great wearable condition with some unique features, most notably the bi-swing gusset in the front of the armhole as well as at the back giving extra ease of movement. The cuffs, too, are most unusual in style.  This jacket has been in our archives since the mid 90s, we'd intended to reproduce the style but never got round to doing so, mainly because of the amount of work involded in making this style. As can be see from the photos there is surface wear, light loss of colour and some minor scuffing to the leather, but this doesn't detract from the jacket at all and anyone who would prefer to lose this patina can bring it up to near mint condition. As the jacket is Horsehide it's easy to reinstate the colour using boot polish and some "Spit and Shine"
