Vintage Deadstock Women's Land Army Overalls

These original vintage pure cotton overalls are a real find and absolutely perfect to wear as part of a Women's land Army uniform, the perfect alternative to the usual sweater and breeches which, although the most typical of WLA outfits, were far from the only outfit worn by the hardy girls who worked long hours in the fields to feed the population on The Home Front during WW2.

These superb original deadstock vintage overalls are actually RAF overalls, they (are marked RAF) and are a mixed lot, all identical in styling but are by a mixture of different makers and mixed dates, dating from the 1960s to the 1980s. All are marked 36" UK Size 10, US size 14) but they fit comfortable up to a roomy size 40"UK Size 14, US 18)

Although post WW2 these are identical to the overalls that were issued to members of the Women's Land Army, also known as 'Land Girls', and were worn while working on farms and in the forestry doing the work previously done by the men who by then were serving in the armed forces.

Worn with one of our WLA armbands these 100% cotton would be perfect to wear with our deadstock khaki overalls to complete an authentic 1940s home front outfit

These are strictly limited edition and, unfortunately it's very unlikely we'll be able to find anymore but we are currently working on a Prestige Flying Suit which we hope to have in production by early next year.
