Levis 501XX 1927 - Deadstock Dry **NEW S1-09**

Probably the first 10oz red selvage denim from Cone Mills and the last jean to have the guarantee ticket with the phrase - This is a pair of them - In 1928 we trademark the name Levis and the guarantee ticket was changed to read - This is a pair of Levis. Belt loops had been added in 1922 - modern men were now wearing pants with belts. Some men cut of the cinch so that they could use a belt. Even as late as the 1920s, there was still mining in the West, and many miners still wore the 501 jeans. The 1927 501 was LS & Co's first jean to be made with LS & Co's signiture red selvage denim.
