Henry David Lee set up the HD Lee Mercantile Co in Kansas, 1889 specialising in the production of denim dungarees, overalls and railroad jackets. In 1924 Lee released the 101B Cowboy jeans, the first denim trouser specifically designed for cowboys and rodeo riders. Historically, this 101B is one of the later models replicating the iconic fit from 1946 cut primarily with the cowboy in mind.
