Suede Jackets

Suede jackets offer a different kind of character - softer in feel, with a depth and texture that changes beautifully over time.

While the styles shown here are built in suede as standard, many of our classic designs can also be made in Suede on request.

Suede Leather Jackets from Aero Leathers

A suede jacket brings a quieter kind of presence to leather - softer to the touch, more relaxed in appearance, but no less enduring when made properly. At Aero Leathers, our suede jackets are built with the same attention to detail and construction as our full-grain leather pieces, just with a luxuriously soft finish and feel.

Suede develops character in its own way. Rather than the high-shine patina of horsehide, it gains depth through wear, with subtle variations in tone and texture that reflect how it’s used. It’s a material that feels broken-in from the start, yet continues to evolve over time.

The styles shown here have been selected because they lend themselves particularly well to suede - offering clean lines and balanced proportions that suit the material’s softer structure. That said, suede isn’t limited to these designs. Many of our established patterns can be made in suede on request, allowing you to pair a familiar silhouette with a different look and feel.

For those looking for something a little less rigid than traditional leather, but still built with the same intent and longevity, suede offers a natural alternative.

Some styles of leather jacket are better suited to suede than others; if you’d like to talk with a professional, reach out and contact us today. One of our experienced team members will be more than happy to talk you through the various options, and help you find a suede jacket that fits your tastes.

Suede Jackets FAQs

  • What is Suede?
  • Suede is a type of leather made from the underside of the hide, rather than the outer surface. This gives it a soft, textured finish with a more matte appearance compared to full-grain leather. While it feels more relaxed from the start, good suede is still durable and, like all quality leather, will develop character with wear.

DID YOU KNOW? The word 'suede' comes from the French word for Sweden (Suède). It was Swedish leather workers who first thought to use the soft underside of animal hides to make softer leather gloves for women.
