The Cheviot "Best of British Breeds" Sweater

The Cheviot " Best of British Breeds" Sweater

100% Natural Undyed Organic Wool
Triple Ply
Sheared and Spun in The UK
Knitted in Scotland
Exclusive to Aero

This unique sweater has been knitted here in the heart of Scotland using undyed, natural raw organic wool, ethically sourced, sheared and spun in the UK from a selection of unique native breeds.
The fibre has been processed using traditional time-honoured techniques with an emphasis on sustainability and a low environmental impact.
The absence of any dyeing process allows the natural colours, nuances and shades of each "Best of British" breeds to be reflected in the finished garment

A breed local to Aero, originated in the Cheviot Hills as long ago as the 14th Century. It's a large, rugged breed with a heavy fleece that thrives in bleak, windswept conditions due to their strong constitution.
To this day Cheviots graze in the hills overlooking Galashiels, the home of Aero. The town itself was built around the Cheviot wool trade, a Mill Lade still links the town to the rear of the Aero Building, it's self a former Woollen Mill
