The ultimate in foul weather protection, our version of the classic outdoor jacket of the 1940s/1950s, offering total protection from the elements…….with style!

If ever a jacket was built for comfort, warmth and practicality it would have to be this one. We've given this jacket plenty of length and added a fur collar to keep out the rain with hidden storm cuffs to keep the cuff area cosy and windproof.

The waist draws in with an elasticated section under the leather on the side panels but for the ultimate in draught excluding we've added a classic 1950s style detachable belt which draws the jacket in to repel the worst of any weather. The belt is constructed in two sections which button onto the half belt at the back.

For practicality we've fitted six pockets in total, two map pockets with zippers, two handwarmer pockets and two cargo pockets. Integral studs to cargo pocket flaps add security if needed. Cord piping has been used to accentuate the lower pocket profile, adding some extra style. All six pockets are lined in heavy duty moleskin. No need to add inside pockets to this jacket.

This jacket is a 1950s inspired design which offers a fit with quite a bit of room around the body which was typical of the more relaxed fitting styles of this era.

The perceived ‘correct’ fit of the 1950s was generally more ‘oversized’ than modern sizing, so we typically recommend either selecting your usual size for this style to achieve the intended ‘1950s’ relaxed fit, although many choose to size down for a more modern fitted look.

Additionally, the jacket has a slight taper to the waist and a belt to provide a more fitted look around the waist while retaining room around the chest and shoulders.
