Some garments have a very short lifespan, appearing in blaze of publicity and then looking very dated in less time than it takes to break them in, while other pieces seem to be instant classics, the kind of garment that may flirt with fashion but in fact is never in nor out of fashion.
The Polka Dot silk scarf is one such garment although the design does seem to have been messed with from time to time. The classic polka dot scarf, such as the scarf we offer, has been an essential wardrobe item for the best part of a century. From the dandies of the 1920s and 1930s such as Bertie Wooster or Edward VII, to the dashing pilots of WW2, the Bikers of the 1950s and to Mods in the 1960s and 1970s who wore them under their Crombies, the New Romantics in the 1980s, through the decades to today, when a properly tied Polka Dot Silk scarf is the mark of style, ideal for setting off a whole swathe of classic jackets and coats.
Ideal, and historically correct, to wear with one of our Irvin Flying jackets or Bike Jackets.
