The Aero "BLIZZARD" is, like the name suggests, the perfect coat for the very worst of weather. Practical, and purpose built, the son of our famous "BARNSTORMER" is unlike the majority of foul weather coats in that it's also a very stylish garment.

There are four deep pockets lined in Moleskin for warmth, has a heavyweight Lochcarron lining as standard, a full length detachable belt to keep any storm at bay and an extra button to draw the shawl collar in tight at the neck.

In our quest to create the ultimate winter coat, both in terms of practicality and of style, we can exclusively offer a version of the Blizzard with a grafted set of matching waistcoat fronts into the side and shoulder seams of the lining (see example picture).

These are not removable but can be worn in three different positions. For a dressier look and for added protection from a head wind it should be worn as a traditional waistcoat, to all intents and purposes giving the appearance of a coat worn over a waistcoat in matching wool. For a less formal look the waistcoat panels can be buttoned back neatly against the side seams where they can't be seen, even if the coat is worn open. The third alternative is to button the waistcoat in the usual way before putting the coat on; the waistcoat then sits between the wearer's back and the outer shell giving greatly improved protection for the worst types of weather coming from behind.

This jacket is a 1920s inspired design, but while many designs of this era were very slim fitting, this style was intended as an 'overcoat' and so has a more relaxed fit than styles typical of that era.

If you plan on layering with heavy sweaters underneath then we'd recommend selecting your usual size, but if you plan to wear light sweaters/shirts you can usually 'size down' one size for a more fitted look.

Additionally, this jacket has a detachable belt at the natural waist which can be tightened/loosened to achieve a more relaxed/fitted look around the waist.
