This is a straight reproduction of one of the finest original 1920s jackets we've seen in many decades. We've unashamedly replicated every detail of the original and transferred the panelling to a pattern block taken from an old 1920s Mackinaw belonging to our founder that had finally given up the ghost.
The seams on the horsehide shell are triple stitched everywhere for strength, the back collar and cuff linings are corduroy and waist adjustment is by tab and button. Lined in Melton Wool as standard, please note that other options are available on request but will require leather facings on inside.
This jacket is a 1920s inspired design which features our premier cut (a slim fit with high cut armholes and sleeves), but slightly sized up from other Premier styles with the jacket being an overcoat (albeit a slim fitting one).
We normally recommend selecting your usual size for this style (typically the closest size to your expanded chest measurement) for a comfortably slim fit and the intended look. Very few people can comfortably size down in our Premier styles (and if you can, there will be little room for layering) and depending on your body type and what you intend to wear underneath the jacket, you may need to size up from your usual size.
For further general sizing information, please see our sizing FAQ section. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for there, please get in touch.
Don’t worry, all sizing information displayed here is only a guide. Every order placed is checked over by a member of our production team who will confirm your size selection against your measurements or recommend any necessary changes that need to be made. If you have any specific queries, you can note these in the special instructions box on the ‘measurements’ page when placing your order.
