Last year we sourced a batch of 10mm Seal Sheepskin which was planned to be used for the cuffs and waistbands of Type B-3s but unfortunately it didn’t quite match the 22mm body fleece in terms of fleece/shell colour. We’ve decided that due to its thinner weight, it would be ideal for a small run of USAAF Type D-1’s to train up one of our experienced machinists who is training up on sheepskin styles.
This limited run of excellent trainee-grade stock-sized D-1’s is available at just over 25% off the Made to Order price and is ideal for anyone looking for this classic military style in a thinner shearling.
The Type D-1 has a relatively relaxed fit but does have a taper to the body/waist which sometimes needs taken into account by our production team depending on your proportions for example someone with a larger stomach and waist measurement may need to size up.
We generally recommend ordering this jacket in your usual size (normally the one closest to your relaxed chest measurement).
