Type A-2 Leather Flight Jackets
Undoubtedly the most popular garment ever issued to aviators, the Type A-2 flying jacket is an American military flight jacket that was adopted as standard issue by the U.S. Army Air Corps on May 9, 1931. Here at Aero Leathers, we stock a range of faithful reproductions of the A-2 jacket based on original WWII patterns from our archives. These jackets are then cut and constructed by one of our military specialist machinists, resulting in a jacket that is probably the nearest to a WWII A-2 made since 1943.
