Heavier horsehide and steerhide provide natural wind resistance and durability, or even going a step further, our sheepskin provides the ultimate insulation from the cold, forming a barrier against the elements that lighter materials can’t match. Over time, these leathers mould to the wearer while retaining their strength - an important balance when a jacket is worn daily through colder months.

Lining plays just as important a role. We offer a range of options designed to add warmth without unnecessary bulk, from wools, tweed and quilted linings through to sheepskin. The right combination depends on how and where the jacket will be worn, but the aim is always the same: to create something that holds heat while remaining comfortable and functional.

Certain styles naturally lend themselves to winter wear. Designs with higher collars, longer body lengths, and room for layering tend to perform best, offering better coverage and protection from wind. That said, most Aero jackets can be adapted with appropriate lining and fit adjustments to suit colder conditions.
