A jacket for today. Strongly influenced by The Great Depression that we are, it would appear, in a similar position to USA in the mid-1930s. and we have reflected upon a time where, like today, raw materials were scarce and are quite likely to be so for some time. While we, a highly skilled team of crafts-folk, are capable of working wonders with the raw material available in the 1930s this led to some of the best clothing designs of all time, our team are ready to emulate this era.
Also available from stock for a short period of time.
Early examples of these are available as a Limited Edition at a price reflecting the times we are going through, no modifications other than height related amendments, we also have a small number of early design samples, pattern test jacket available at exceptional low prices, these can we viewed here while stocks last.
Over the decades the hand finished leathers we use often result in variations of colour from one delivery to the next, even variations in colour or grain from one end of a hide to the other. It is our cutter's job to work round these anomalies but as the years rolled by our stocks of leather set aside to use "on a rainy day" have grown. We would like to take the opportunity in making the most of this time and adopt more sustainable ways by using up these leathers so nothing goes to waste.
Now as the world prepares to return to something approaching ‘normal' we find ourselves with some very long lead times for certain leathers. We have an abundance of perfectly good leather that has been set aside over a long period of time. This includes several test runs, samples of many different finishes, and leathers often quite unique but not quite what we wanted. We even have a few bundles of our very best hides, CXFQHH and Vicenza ready to fill any gaps in our supply chain.
While little variations in colours, matching of grain etc in our stockist's orders, shops like a range of identical jackets, we can use these leathers for short "One of" runs, some Blue Label and some regular Aero.
